African Scholars in Education Discipline (ASED) is a pan-African professional network that brings together scholars, researchers, lecturers, teacher educators, postgraduate students, educational practitioners, policymakers, and institutions committed to advancing education through high-quality research, collaboration, innovation, and knowledge dissemination.
ASED was established to strengthen educational research across Africa by creating a vibrant community where ideas are exchanged, partnerships are formed, and research is translated into meaningful educational policies and practices. The organization serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration among all fields of education, fostering academic excellence and promoting solutions to the educational challenges facing Africa and the global community.
The organization is domiciled in the Department of Computer and Robotics Education, University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria, and operates through a growing network of national coordinators and institutional representatives across African countries.

The objectives of African Scholars in Education Discipline (ASED) are to:

Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among education scholars, researchers, institutions, and professional bodies across Africa and internationally.
Strengthen research capacity through workshops, conferences, webinars, seminars, mentorship programmes, and specialized training in research methods, academic writing, data analysis, and scholarly publishing.
Advance scholarly publishing by publishing high-quality peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, books, book chapters, policy briefs, and other academic resources.
Provide platforms for knowledge exchange through international conferences, symposia, colloquia, and research forums that facilitate the dissemination of research findings and best practices.
Support early-career researchers and postgraduate students by providing mentorship, academic guidance, networking opportunities, and professional development programmes.
